How an organisation tells their story, whether in person or online is more important than ever as they try to convey the work they do, why it matters, and how people can get involved. Communicating the right message, knowing how to present yourself and your organisation on your website, social media channels and elsewhere can make the difference between whether you get funding, someone decides to volunteer, or they decide to retweet your message to their followers. How you communicate your story can help you stand out among all the others.
In this small group workshop, we will discuss the importance of stories and organisational messaging. We will take a look at and dissect charity websites and social media channels – what works, what doesn’t and what could be improved so your website is compelling and tells a better story about what you do. Participants will have an opportunity to receive feedback on their current website and get advice on what they could do to sharpen their messaging to get the results they want.
